Terms of use

The agreement between Media Suite and the businesses that run on it, written to be read rather than skipped.

1. The agreement

   These terms apply to anyone who creates a Media Suite account or uses a workspace on the platform. Using the service means accepting them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind it.

2. Limited release

   Media Suite is released in stages, and the product tells you which stages are live. Features described as planned are not commitments with dates attached, and we may change what a later stage contains.

   During limited release we do not offer an uptime guarantee or a service level agreement. We will not pretend otherwise in order to close a sale.

3. Your account

   You are responsible for what happens under your login, so keep your password to yourself and enrol an authenticator app. A workspace owner is responsible for the staff logins they create and for revoking access when somebody leaves.

   Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised. Your own activity log is the fastest way to see what happened.

4. Your content is yours

   You keep every right you have in the photographs, video, site text and customer records you put into Media Suite. We claim no ownership of them.

   You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your files, to serve them to the people you choose, to send the emails you ask us to send, and to make backups.

5. Your customers

   When somebody books with you or accepts your quote, they are your customer and their details are your responsibility. You are the one who must have a lawful basis to hold them and who must answer their requests about them.

   We hold that data on your behalf and keep it isolated from every other workspace on the platform.

6. Payments

   Payments are taken through Stripe Connect, directly on the account you connect. The money is never ours and never passes through us.

   That has a consequence worth stating plainly: refunds, chargebacks and disputes are between you, your customer and Stripe. We can help you find the record; we cannot reverse a charge for you.

   You are responsible for charging and remitting the right taxes on your own sales.

7. Acceptable use

   Do not use Media Suite to do any of the following.

   • Break the law, or hold content you have no right to hold.
   • Upload material that is unlawful, or that sexualises children in any way.
   • Attempt to reach another workspace's data, probe the isolation between tenants, or interfere with the service for others.
   • Resell access to the platform as though it were your own product, unless we have agreed that in writing.
   • Send unsolicited bulk email through the platform's mail features.

8. Storage limits

   Each workspace has a storage cap shown on its dashboard. If you reach it, uploads stop rather than silently overwriting anything, and you can ask us to raise it.

9. Suspension and removal

   We may suspend a workspace that is being used to break these terms or that is putting the platform or other customers at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

   You can stop using Media Suite at any time and ask us to remove your workspace. Archiving is reversible and keeps everything; permanent deletion is not reversible, which is why it asks you to type the name of what you are destroying.

10. Liability

    The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

    Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Changes to these terms

    We may update these terms as the product grows. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you before it takes effect rather than relying on you noticing the date at the top.
